Learn More About DECA
Students can begin their experience in DECA as early as the ninth grade by enrolling in a marketing, finance, hospitality, business management or entrepreneurship course. They can retain their membership in DECA as long as they are actively pursuing courses in one of the content areas. As part of a high school chapter, DECA students can take full advantage of DECA activities while preparing themselves to be college and career ready upon graduation. Get involved in DECA today!

DECA’s competitive events program directly supports our mission. As an integral part of the classroom curriculum, DECA’s industry-validated competitive events are aligned with the National Curriculum Standards in the career clusters of marketing, business management and administration, finance, and hospitality and tourism. DECA's flagship evaluation process involves students in both a written component such as an exam or report and an interactive component with an industry professional serving as a judge. DECA’s competitive events directly contribute to every student being college and career ready when they graduate from high school. Find out more about the unique events offered through DECA.
Volunteer to Judge
Do you have time to assist students with their career goals? You can, by being a competitive events judge. It requires as little as a half day time commitment. You'll be helping high school students prepare for successful careers. These students have worked all year to prepare for their competitions both inside and outside of the classroom. These students have personally raised money to pay to participate in these events and have their skills evaluated by you. It's easy to judge. Registered judges receive detailed information and a thorough judge orientation is held on site before competition begins. People who have judged before enjoyed their experience and return to judge again. Learn more to find out how you can become a DECA Judge.
Become a Business Partner
DECA's business partners provide strategic advice on organizational policy, professional insight on content and crucial financial support for programming. DECA's business partners are recognized as our National Advisory Board (NAB). DECA's NAB partnerships reflect our founding mission and program strength. Each enhances the classroom experience by providing "real world" application to learning. In exchange, the NAB partners gain access to a network of 5,000 classrooms and 200,000 high school and college students who are working to prepare themselves to be leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. Additionally, NAB members value DECA members because they demonstrate competence, innovation, integrity and teamwork.
The NAB includes corporations, foundations and associations that seek to support the development of leaders and entrepreneurs that will be successful in a global economy and will be their company's employees and leaders, their association's members and staff and responsible community leaders. In short, DECA's NAB is investing in futures. Become a DECA Partner today!
