Gain the Recognition Your Chapter Deserves with the Chapter Awards Program

Author:

Want to gain recognition for your chapter? Then make sure you keep in mind of the Chapter Awards Program, where DECA recognizes your chapter’s achievements in membership development, community service, leadership development, social intelligence, and promotion/public relations. The Chapter Awards Program is divided into three tiers, the bronze, silver, and gold awards. As an incentive to participate in the program and push your DECA chapter to new heights, all gold award winners will be able to go to ICDC and participate in either the Leadership Development Academy or the Senior Management Institute.
Document your chapter activities and achievements throughout the year and submit your Chapter Awards portfolio before the State Conference to participate in the program. To gain recognition in the Chapter Award Program, a chapter must have 50% to 100% of marketing education students from their school join DECA and complete 2-6 chapter activities in the community service, leadership development, social intelligence, and promotion/public relations activities listed on the official Chapter Awards Programs rules. These activities range anywhere from hosting a fashion show, to writing for the DECA Dimensions magazine, so there is bound to be some activities that you and your chapter would love to participate in. California, it’s time to aim for those Chapter Awards, to shoot for the stars and to show DECA how amazing you and your school can really be!
