Fundraising Tips

DECA conferences can be pretty expensive, but thankfully, your chapter can FUNDRAISE to make the costs a bit more bearable. The great thing about fundraising is that there are endless ways to raise large sums of money, and it can be a very fun experience as well! Here are some ideas to get you started:
Individual fundraisers:

  • Selling chocolate bars around campus
  • Selling gift wrap in local areas

Hosting events together as chapters:

  • Organizing a car wash
  • Setting up a movie night at school
  • Hosting talent shows and dances

Whatever your chapter does choose to do to fundraise, it’s very important to stay organized and make sure all necessary steps are planned out well. The more efficiently the fundraiser runs, the better the outcome will be! Also, make sure to keep track of all funds raised in order to accurately know the end profit and result of all your hard work. Good luck on your fundraising!
