DECA chapter officers and advisors gathered at the FIDM San Francisco Campus on Saturday, September 8, for the third annual DECA University. During the event, chapters were introduced to the new DECA Chapter Campaigns, which is comprised of five areas: Promotional Campaign, Global Entrepreneurship Week Campaign, Community Service Campaign, Membership Campaign, and Advocacy Campaign. While at the FIDM Campus, Trudy Noren, Special Events coordinator with FIDM, spoke to the DECA members about the DECA FIDM Challenge and the available scholarships FIDM offers to DECA members. A campus tour was offered to those in attendance, after Mrs. Noren’s presentation. Chapters were led in the planning of their Program of Work, which focused on the Five DECA Chapter Campaigns, and the steps to set goals and achieve them. Afterwards, members had the opportunity to cheer on the San Francisco Giants as they hosted the LA Dodgers. DECA U 2012 was a huge success and special thanks goes to all those that attended!
