California DECA attended the 68th International Career Development Conference (ICDC) in Atlanta, Georgia. Over 16,000 members and advisors from across the globe came to make it count in Atlanta, Georgia from May 2-7. California DECA had a record-breaking turnout of over 450 members in attendance, and placed top three in overall association winnings!
California DECA excelled competitively at ICDC with over 40 students placed in the Top 10 and 16 students placed in Top 3.
California DECA held a competitive training workshop at ICDC this year. At the training session, members competing in the same event category collaborated to help each other. At the end of the session, a winners panel assembled to answer questions of what to expect at ICDC.
Juston Glass, The Harker School Advisor, was commended for all his hard work and dedication to this organization by DECA Inc. He received national recognition for completing all Chapter Campaigns in one year!
Amador Valley’s Laurie Andrews has chosen to begin a new chapter in her life. California DECA is very grateful to everything she has contributed to this organization. Thank you for all your hard work, California DECA will miss you!
The 2014-2015 state officers participated in numerous activities at ICDC, including the selecting and voting process of choosing the new executive officer team. California DECA would like to congratulate, Zack Schaja, Kyle Kuo, Robert Mitchals, Amar Hodzic, and Juan Sanchez. We look forward to a great year!
