DECA Banquets are a time for members to reflect on their experience with DECA, and look forward to another great year. Your state officers are honored to share those moments with all of you, and here are some highlights of a few DECA Banquets this year from throughout our state:
Mission San Jose DECA
June 7, 2014
Mission San Jose DECA celebrated the end of the year with a night of pizza and karaoke. Among the festivities was a special officer installation ceremony, in which candle flames were extinguished for outgoing officers and new candles were lit for the incoming chapter officers.
American DECA
June 6, 2014
American DECA finished their record membership year by surprising their graduating seniors with a recognition banquet. Each graduating senior had a poster on the wall, where other members wrote congratulatory messages and shared their memories. In addition, American DECA started a new tradition by inducting their most outstanding members into their chapter’s Hall of Fame.
Dublin DECA
June 4, 2014
Dublin DECA ended their year at the Cheesecake Factory, congratulating their members on a fantastic year. They also recognized their advisor, Lisa Pong, for 11 years of dedication to DECA, and inspiring her students to take their abilities to new heights.
Foothill DECA
June 2, 2014
Foothill DECA hosted their third annual banquet to recognize all the hard work and goals they accomplished as a chapter. Furthermore, Foothill DECA had special awards for certain chapter members that impacted DECA immensely this year. To conclude the banquet, Foothill DECA made a recap video highlighting special moments shared as a chapter and introducing the new theme, I AM DECA.
Amador Valley DECA

Amador Valley DECA recaps the year with their Annual Amador Valley DECA Banquet. Individual members and “DECA Favorites” were recognized for their participation, and the new 2014-2015 chapter officers took an oath of office with a candle light ceremony.
Washington DECA
April 17, 2014
Washington DECA presented their 2014-2015 chapter officers at their annual banquet. In addition to music and food, the night was filled with recognition of all chapter members. The night ended with a slideshow of pictures highlighting the 2013-2014 DECA year, and a speech by their beloved chapter advisor Mr. Wu.
