CA DECA officers with Senator McGuire.
Sacramento Calif.–March 26, 2015– Vice President of Silicon Valley Jacinta Chang and Vice President of Northern California Abhisek Sahoo represented California DECA at a meeting with Senator Mike McGuire at the State Capitol. Representatives from six Career Technical Student Organizations were present at this meeting to advocate for Career and Technical Education to California Board of Education members.
Sahoo expressed his gratitude after the meeting: “We really appreciate the support from the California State Government that is given to DECA, as well as all the other CTSOs. Senator Mark McGuire has been a key advocator for Career and Technical Student Organizations like DECA which enhance future career skills for students, and we are very thankful for his ongoing contributions.”
California DECA is thankful for the support it has received from Senator McGuire and the California Board of Education over the past years, and we hope to continue this ongoing relationship while exposing California students to Career and Technical Education.
