This #summerofDECA, the California DECA State Officers and several California Chapter Officer Teams attended the DECA Emerging Leader Summit hosted in San Francisco. Here, Chapter Officers attended Elevate, the academy that teaches Chapter Officers the tips and tricks of running a chapter and having a successful year. Your State Officers attended Empower, the academy that helps develop programming for members by association officers.
Over the three day event, chapter and association officers expanded their knowledge of teamwork, etiquette, leadership skills, and tips to own their future in DECA! The conference was attended by DECA members from seventeen states and one province, providing an international experience for those who attended. #DECAELS was just a taste of what is to come this year, as California will play host for the greatest DECA conference of them all – The 2017 International Career Development Conference in Anaheim!
