Hey California DECA, we are so excited to announce the start of the #CAGOLD Scholarship. As DECA members around California seek to explore their interests and compete at conferences, financial situations should not be the limiting factor preventing them from participating. This scholarship will be provided to qualifying individuals in order to help cover a portion of the travel and/or conference costs to SCDC.
It will be offered to students who exhibit a demonstrated need through the chapter advisor and an application consisting of a few short answer questions. In order to apply, you must fill out the application questions and have your advisor complete the advisor checklist and the advisor nomination questions.
California DECA will provide 6 needs-based scholarships (depending on the amount of funds raised) to go towards subsidizing the fees for attending SCDC, including registration, travel, and lodging. The money will be raised through several methods: conference registration funds, alumni donations, restaurant fundraisers, and company sponsorships.
