CA DECA Emerging Leaders Summit Reflection

Author: California DECA

California DECA’s State Officer Team had an amazing time in Salt Lake City, UT this past July for the DECA Inc. Emerging Leaders Summit. They had the opportunity to network with leaders from all across North America, with chartered associations as far away as Ontario, Florida, and Michigan attending. State President Daniel Dolan, Vice President of Leadership Nitin Jaladanki, and Vice President of Southern California Brayden Lou all enjoyed great experiences as they learned from experienced trainers like Ryan Underwood and Bryant Collier, developing their skills in project management, public speaking, workshop development, advocacy, and business partnerships.

Our state officers also enjoyed the chance to speak with JSerra DuPont Business Magnet, a California DECA chapter that attended the Summit and got the chance to maximize their chapter’s leadership abilities for the upcoming year. They participated in DECA Inc.’s Elevate track of workshops, and learned many strategies that can be put to work to make their chapter #CAGOLD this year.

Overall, California DECA greatly maximized their leadership skills at this conference, and looks forward to putting everything they’ve learned to work in aiding California DECA’s members, advisors, and chapters for the 2022-2023 year.
