California DECA’s State Officer Team had an amazing time attending the National Association for Women Business Owners’ (NAWBO) Silicon Valley Crystal Chair Awards Gala on September 20th. The mission of NAWBO is to empower women business owners and create a space for owners to promote their businesses to one another.
Vice President of Northern California Sara Vannoni and Vice President of Silicon Valley Vineeta Muvvala attended the event on behalf of California DECA and had the opportunity to network with women business owners from all across Silicon Valley. They managed a booth to help recruit judges, presented to attendees about the mission of DECA, and helped present the Crystal Chair Award at the end of the event. Overall, this was an insightful experience for the California DECA State Officer Team providing the team with exposure to entrepreneurship and the opportunity to spread the mission of DECA.
About NAWBO: NAWBO is the National Association for Women Business Owners. For the past few years, NAWBO helped provide judges for the Silicon Valley Career Development Conference. State Officers are invited to their events and conferences to form connections with business owners.
