Message From the President

From competition materials to an upcoming chapter packet, the state officer team is excited to help chapters recruit new members and prepare for an incredible year ahead!

Articles From the Chapters

Mission San Jose DECA Plans for an Exciting Year
Mission San Jose DECA prefaced the school year by welcoming all of its current and prospective members at the school’s orientation day. The chapter gained a significant amount of interest from students passing the club booth – some who were enticed by free ice cream or gleaming acrylic awards and some who were simply interested in learning more about DECA. In the end, MSJ DECA gained a promising amount of prospective members and hopes to increase their active membership in the upcoming DECA season.
Despite the new CTE requirements, MSJ DECA continues to prosper and grow. Efforts have been made to increase the number of students registered in CTE-certified classes, and MSJ DECA looks forward to the upcoming school year and competition season!
Amador Valley DECA Hosts Annual Summer Barbecue
Picture2
On August 12, Amador Valley DECA hosted its annual #SummerOfDECA barbecue at the local tennis park as the culminating event of the summer before the start of school. The event boasted nearly 40 attendees, comprised of returning, alumni, and prospective DECA members. At the event, members had the opportunity to chat with one another, enjoy burgers, refreshments, and other snacks, and play at the tennis or basketball courts.
Amador Valley DECA is immensely proud of its longtime tradition of hosting the barbecue. With the high turnout, the chapter is excited to see what the rest of the year has in store for them!
