The Presidents Council was created to help build stronger chapters, create district unity, and ensure effective communication between the state association and local chapters. With regular and consistent communication, the state association will keep chapters informed of key state programs, events, and opportunities, and encourage greater participation and involvement. Most importantly, the Presidents Council brings local chapters together. Whether a new, emerging, or veteran chapter, the Presidents Council allows for direct, student-to-student communication and support.
Dear California DECA Chapter Presidents,
Hello all! My name is Elisa Zhang, and I’ll be your 2019-2020 State President! On behalf of the entire team, I wanted to give you all a huge congratulations for stepping up and being ready to lead your chapters for the coming year.
Your next year of presidency is going to be an incredible experience. Each of you hold the hefty responsibility to serve and represent your chapter, to foster and encourage growth, and to leave a lasting impact in your chapter’s history. You have lots of power in your hands, so use it wisely! Don’t be afraid to dream big in paving the way for your chapter’s future, and if there’s anything at all we can help you out with, please do not hesitate to reach out!
Starting September, you all will have the opportunity to connect with chapter presidents from around the state during the monthly Presidents Council virtual meeting. You’ll be able to hear updates from Team 69 as well as be able to share your own. You’ll have numerous opportunities to network this coming year, so make sure to take advantage of them!
Once again, feel free to reach out to any of the state officers at any point this year! Whether connecting on social media or scheduling a chapter visit, we are more than happy to work together with you. Thank you all for your hard work and dedication; California DECA is truly an amazing organization because of leaders like you.
