Help Prepare California’s Next Generation of Business Leaders

Are you interested in helping prepare today’s emerging leaders and entrepreneurs for careers in marketing, finance, hospitality, management, and more?

California DECA relies on business professionals, educators, college students, alumni, and community members to serve as judges at our District and State Career Development Conferences. Your time and expertise give students the opportunity to demonstrate their skills in realistic, career-connected experiences—and receive valuable feedback from professionals.

No previous DECA judging experience is required.

California DECA Judge Expectations and Guidelines

Judging Opportunities

California DECA is looking for judges for our 2027 District and State Career Development Conferences.

You only need to complete the judge registration form once. On the form, you will select all dates you are available to judge. There is no need to submit a separate form for each event. In-person judges should plan to participate for the full judging day, from 8:00 AM–4:00 PM. If you already signed up and would like to join us for an additional event, please email judge@californiadeca.org!
